As part of their expansion in the oncology division, the company is currently seeking an Associate Director/Senior Associate Director for Oncology Marketing. This role will primarily focus on healthcare professional (HCP) marketing for all sarcoma products and indications. Although we prefer candidates with Senior Associate Director experience (equivalent to a Director role at most companies, including competitive compensation in the Northeast), we are open to considering Associate Director applicants as well.

YOU:

  • MUST have recent, client-side, US focused, HCP oncology marketing experience
  • Rare/orphan product experience is a plus
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Launch experience is a plus
  • MUST be willing to be onsite at least 2 days per week due to launch(es) (commutable area)

The chosen Associate Director/Senior Associate Director will assume responsibility for overseeing and coordinating the development, execution, and monitoring of brand strategies for a specific U.S. specialty brand or indication within the specialty brand portfolio. Additionally, they will actively participate in shaping marketing strategies and lead the development of marketing tactics designed to achieve business objectives. As a recognized expert in the field, this individual will provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, execution, and monitoring of key elements within brand plans and strategies, leading the implementation of marketing initiatives and tactics to achieve core objectives.
  • Manage and monitor product forecasts, associated models, and brand expense budgets, including involvement in advanced analytics to simulate market dynamics.
  • Analyze product and market performance, competitive intelligence, and market research to identify growth opportunities and challenges, then define actions and tactics to advance the brand’s strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with patient advocacy groups to support third-party organizations in securing patient support.
  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive patient and caregiver support programs to enhance compliance, adherence, and fulfillment of the specialty portfolio.
  • Collaborate with patient access services to formulate effective strategies and related tactics for patient access, including leveraging HUB services, Specialty Pharmacy Network, and Specialty Distribution.
  • Implement patient support services, including product education and device training when necessary.
  • Develop strategies for patient service-related communications and associated materials via Specialty Pharmacy, Hub, and Clinical (Nurse) Educators.
  • Act as the brand’s representative with both internal and external stakeholders, playing a key role in developing and executing brand positioning and messaging to achieve goals.
  • Support the annual business planning process and present to senior management as required.

Associate Director, Specialty Marketing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (MBA preferred)
  • Over five years of experience in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry, with at least three years of experience in U.S. pharmaceutical marketing or relevant roles
  • US focused HCP marketing experience in oncology required (recent experience)
  • Client-side marketing experience required
  • Experience collaborating with digital partners for initiative development and execution, including Google, third-party media providers, and social media community platforms
  • Proficiency in guiding and integrating digital analytics for metrics-based optimization
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources
  • Proven track record of achieving results in a matrixed organization
  • Primarily operational/tactical role with a creative and innovative approach
  • Evolving expertise in their discipline, with moderate guidance within their department
  • History of successful performance
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and database applications
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays

Senior Associate Director, Specialty Marketing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (MBA preferred)
  • Over eight years of experience in the U.S. pharmaceutical industry, with at least five years of experience in U.S. pharmaceutical marketing or relevant roles, preferably in Specialty Marketing
  • US focused HCP marketing experience in oncology required (recent experience)
  • Client-side marketing experience required
  • Experience collaborating with digital partners for initiative development and execution, including Google, third-party media providers, and social media community platforms
  • Proficiency in guiding and integrating digital analytics for metrics-based optimization
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources
  • Proven track record of achieving results in a matrixed organization
  • Primarily operational/tactical role with a creative and innovative approach
  • Developing expertise in their discipline, with moderate guidance within their department, and accountability for certain elements of brand strategy
